Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth in the residential new construction and commercial markets by developing and executing strategic business plans. The individual in this role will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and will professionally represent SWAT Environmental nationally, a company dedicated to creating safer environments by enhancing indoor air quality in homes and workplaces across the United States. This role is critical to the company’s overall success by establishing and nurturing relationships with key industry stakeholders, developing strategic business plans, and ensuring the company's radon mitigation solutions are adopted by builders, developers, and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building strategic partnerships, expanding market share, and achieving revenue targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in residential new construction and commercial markets throughout the company’s footprint.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market penetration and achieve revenue goals.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including homebuilders, general contractors, commercial developers, property management firms, environmental consultants, and housing authorities.
- Partnership Development: Establish strategic partnerships with industry associations, regulatory bodies, and other key influencers to promote radon mitigation solutions.
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential clients through research, networking, and industry events.
- Proposal Development: Create and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts to prospective clients.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking progress toward goals and reporting regularly to senior management.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape to inform business development strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the finance, marketing, operations, and sales teams to ensure alignment with business goals and client needs.
- Provide ongoing support to existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the radon, construction, property management, or environmental services industries.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of environmental services, residential construction, and commercial real estate markets.
- Proven Success: Demonstrated success in growing market share and achieving sales targets.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
- Networking: Strong networking skills with an established network of industry contacts.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Travel: Willingness to travel nationally as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Location: Prefer candidates located in Atlanta, GA, Detroit, MI, or Philadelphia, PA
