Job Description
As an Area Service Manager, you will be responsible for the Safety and Productivity of your team. You will manage a staff of technicians, providing in-person and remote support as needed. You will be responsible for hiring new staff as needed . With the assistance of our support staff, you will work with customers, vendors, Account Managers and other stake holders ensuring the best in communication and execution of estimates, assigned services and projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
o Leads Service Coordinators and Technicians for interim branch(s) new or expanding territories as needed.
o Recruiting and Employee Development
o P&L Responsibility for each assigned team
o Project Management
o Quoting and Billing (Preparation)
o Ensures and Supports Customer Service Level Agreements and best practices execution as listed above.
o Safety: Ensure all personnel are actively implementing the best safety practices and are following all prescribed policies, procedures, and processes. Assists the Leadership team in promoting a culture of compliance with all safety initiatives, and in developing the safety strategy.
o Training: Identifies training and development needs for staff. Defines and develops training goals to ensure all personnel are equipped and ready to meet business requirements. Trains support staff to organize effectively and to develop strategies and goals to meet SSM objectives.
Requirements for Success
o 5+ years Commercial HVAC/R experience
o Clean driving record
o Strong mechanical aptitude
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Outstanding ability to interact positively with Customers and Co-workers
Able to meet the physical demands of the position including climbing a ladder and carrying heavy materials
o Passion for the Trade and a service excellence approach
o Dedication to continuous improvement in quality, cost, communication and to building long-term relationships.
o Proficient in using technology e.g., Microsoft office.
o The ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once prioritizing issues appropriately.
o Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a staff of varying skill sets.
o Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
o High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program or technical school
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $92,000.00 per year
