As our Restaurant Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in upholding Blackbird’s reputation for excellence while fostering a culture of teamwork and hospitality.
Responsibilities – Blackbird Modern Asian:
- Work closely with the Director of Operations and the Regional Director of Blackbird Modern Asian.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest satisfaction — guest satisfaction is key to the success of this position.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the team, including bartenders and servers, to uphold high service standards.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders as needed to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Conduct interviews and hire qualified team members to build and sustain a strong, cohesive staff.
- Enforce food safety standards and health regulations to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to ensure timely food preparation and impeccable presentation.
- Foster positive guest relationships to encourage repeat visits and enhance customer loyalty.
- Develop and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing, particularly during peak hours.
Experience:
- 10 years of previous experience in restaurant management or food service management is required.
- Strong knowledge of Toast POS.
- Experience leading a front-of-house team with over 50 members.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
- Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and ordering.
