Job Title: Regional Traveling Maintenance Manager
Location: Multi-state coverage with 60-75% regional travel required
Are you an experienced maintenance leader with a hands-on approach and a passion for teamwork? We’re looking for a dynamic Regional Traveling Maintenance Manager to oversee and support our maintenance operations across multiple facilities. You’ll bring the skills, drive, and leadership we need to keep our machinery and plants operating smoothly, tackling challenges on-site and remotely, and working closely with maintenance teams to build reliability and efficiency across our locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Mentor: Manage, train, and support resident maintenance technicians at various sites, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Maintenance Oversight: Conduct audits and inspections of maintenance areas and plant facilities to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Operational Coordination: Direct maintenance team efforts to keep equipment, machinery, and facilities in peak condition.
- Emergency Response: Address urgent maintenance issues swiftly and effectively, either on-site or remotely.
- Project Management: Oversee the setup, removal, and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment across multiple locations.
- Communication and Reporting: Relay plans clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, to ensure effective alignment across teams.
- Administrative Support: Manage essential administrative tasks, including record-keeping, parts ordering, and related research as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational improvements and actively contribute to maintenance strategy development.
Skills and Experience:
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in 480-volt systems, Motor Control Circuits, and VFD controllers. Strong experience in powered roller conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Hands-On Fabrication Skills: Proficiency in fabrication, cutting, and welding is highly valued.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Able to diagnose and resolve issues with industrial equipment, including conveyor installations.
- PLC Knowledge: Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Adaptability: Flexibility and willingness to travel regionally (up to 75%) to support facilities as needed.
- Leadership Qualities: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing maintenance teams.
