Job Summary
The Industrial Refrigeration Service Account Manageris directly responsible for managing the overall success and profitability of the Industrial Refrigeration Service Division through collaboration with Project Managers, Account Managers, Engineers, Dispatch, and Technicians. They are responsible for developing long-term customer relationships, bidding work, maximizing account potential, and customer retention through building owner accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Function as the internal expertise on Industrial Refrigeration Service within the office and project administration
- Establish and manage customer relationships with all levels of customer hierarchy, engineering to top executives.
- Develop and train IR Service Field Technicians including reinforcing conduct to align with Corval values and providing support with technical advice and guidance.
- Manage “callback” occurrences through discussion with technicians and document resolution and action items for training, scheduling, and/or performance management.
- Responsible for keeping well-informed of external market conditions and internal requirements and working alongside HR/Labor Management to maintain staffing needs based on forecasted work load
- Work with the office and field to establish required skill sets, talents and capabilities
- Provide sales, sales support and account management and act as a resource to the Sales Team for pricing or technical issues
- Identifies potential opportunities with existing and new customers, and manage leads to maximize growth and sales opportunities
- Gathers or validate preliminary information and performs facility walk-through to determine level of opportunity.
- Assists customers in answering technical questions on IR systems, and relevant industry issues.
- Ensure that quality standards are maintained for all operations processes and functions required for execution and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customer and assigned staff.
- Work with internal and external engineering resources to ensure service, replacements, and installations are provided per relevant specifications and standards
- Work in partnership with the refrigeration team including parts, service, engineering and construction.
- Perform custom quoting and estimating for customers, at all levels of complexity
- Prepare, review, and present proposals and/or contracts with all buying influences negotiating scope of agreement/project.
- Identify cost saving opportunities and/or risk items that will occur on various projects.
- Manage IR service projects while leading team activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget, with quality workmanship.
- Coordinate project design development, obtaining governmental approvals and administering subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Coordinate information and activities amongst estimating, financial and construction as well as subcontractors, vendors, governmental personnel and project superintendent, ensuring proper communication flow, utilizing project meetings, correspondence, and documentation as necessary.

Experience, Education & Skills
- 5 years professional career / field experience, including relevant experience in Industrial Refrigeration service related work
- Preferred active member in RETA; CIRO Certified, CRST Certified or within path to obtain certification
- Proficient in IIAR standards for inspections, testing, and maintenance as well as startup and commissioning
- Ability to interact effectively with others, both within and outside of the organization.
- Detail-oriented, strong problem solving and analytical skills in evaluating situations.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
Working Conditions
- Office environment – extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds frequently & 20- 50 pounds occasionally.
- Construction Site Environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels. Ability to drive a vehicle to and from the project site.
