Plumbing Service Manager
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and grow our plumbing service and installation department. This role requires innovative thinking and proven leadership skills to develop a structured and results-driven department. You will have the autonomy to implement changes and improvements to ensure the best experience for both team members and customers.
The Plumbing Service Manager will serve as a leader and role model for field technicians who handle plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance for residential and commercial clients. Collaboration with the dispatch team, field staff, and management will be essential to facilitate and oversee the successful completion of all plumbing projects. Additionally, this role includes maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring complete customer satisfaction through effective coordination with staff and management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Plumbing Service Manager will handle various aspects of daily operations in the plumbing service department, including but not limited to:
- Interviewing, hiring, and training service technicians to handle incoming service work.
- Generating sales leads and growing the customer base, including establishing relationships with property managers and securing service agreements.
- Expanding the plumbing department year over year with a focus on sustainable growth.
- Supervising and ensuring high-quality workmanship by technicians.
- Providing ongoing training to staff on the latest plumbing techniques and procedures.
- Setting and monitoring goals, budgets, and company objectives to maintain profitability and success.
- Conducting meetings, one-on-one training sessions, periodic ride-alongs, and performance reviews.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and guidelines by all technicians.
- Overseeing proper maintenance of service vehicles and equipment.
- Preparing and delivering required reports to senior management.
- Collaborating with other managers to achieve company objectives.
- Coordinating with the purchasing manager to secure high-quality products at the best prices.
- Developing standard operating procedures for the plumbing department.
Preferred Minimum Requirements and Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in plumbing management.
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Postsecondary education from a college, trade school, or equivalent preferred but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of the plumbing trade.
- Familiarity with the local market.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work late hours, weekends, and holidays if needed.
- Comprehensive understanding of plumbing systems and components.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Service Titan Software is preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time/salaried position
Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 annually, plus incentives
