In this position, you will skillfully balance responsibilities between commercial activities—such as sales and business development—and technical functions, including design, training, and customer support, with a focus between approximately 70% and 30%. Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and business development objectives by strategically identifying and managing distribution channels and end-users, driving sustained growth and market penetration.
- Deliver comprehensive support to enhance distributor development through engaging sales and training sessions, crafting annual business plans, and providing in-depth technical training that empowers distributors. Collaborate with management to develop and execute the annual sales plan and budget while working closely with technical sales support and customer service/order entry personnel.
- Collaborate with senior management to formulate and implement an effective annual sales plan and budget, ensuring alignment with operational goals while closely partnering with technical sales support and customer service/order entry teams .
- Conduct in-depth market and competitive analyses to glean insights that inform product development, market positioning, and sales strategy, ensuring a proactive approach to industry dynamics.
- Drive expansion in the architecture and engineering (A&E) market and contractor base by nurturing relationships with key A&E firms and elevating the profile of Plymovent as a preferred product choice.
- Identify emerging markets and present compelling business opportunities that align with Plymovent's strategic vision and growth objectives.
- Partner with the marketing team to create impactful advertising campaigns, direct marketing initiatives, and trade show presentations that generate high-quality sales leads. Actively participate in key sales events and trade shows to uncover new opportunities.
- Collaborate with product managers and senior management to assess market needs, identify opportunities, and formulate actionable strategies that drive product innovation and sales effectiveness.
- Work alongside the General Manager/President and Controller to establish and uphold robust budgetary controls for all sales-related initiatives and expenditures, ensuring financial integrity.
- Develop accurate annual and rolling sales forecasts to facilitate effective demand planning, enhancing operational efficiency and responsiveness.
- Leverage the Cloud for Customer CRM system to manage accounts and leads proactively, create quotes efficiently, and spearhead targeted sales campaigns that drive engagement and conversion rates.
Minimum Professional and Educational Requirements
- A seasoned professional with five years of experience in business-to-business sales, specializing in the ventilation and HVAC industry.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering is advantageous and enhances my professional qualifications.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute tactical sales strategies, supported by a proven track record of success in sales management and marketing.
- Exceptional skills in resource optimization and the ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally
