At Koala Insulation of Cleveland West Side, we are looking for a professional, customer-obsessed, hands-on Operations Supervisor / Manager to plan and oversee our daily operations. The Operations Manager will be involved in the day-to-day operation of the business including insulation removal and installation, as well as ensuring that vehicles and equipment are maintained and operated safely. This position will also handle customer care complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
Management Responsibilities
- Hires, trains, and coaches/mentors new employees.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles conflict resolution, discipline, and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Performs insulation removal and installation in attics and crawl spaces while leading the crew.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Plans and organizes daily activities related to service and operations.
- Ensures all vehicles and rigs are properly maintained and in good working order.
- Determines labor and scheduling needs to meet service and operations goals.
- Purchases materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency and safety.
- Performs high quality insulation removal and installation as needed and inspects jobs upon completion.
- Enforces Koala Insulation operations manual and policies.
- Ensures that all legally required documents are kept up to date.
- Provides continuous improvement of customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Adheres to, champions, and enforces jobsite safety in accordance with all
- federal, state, and local occupational and health and safety laws.
- Ensures that rig is safely driven to jobsite locations.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent managerial, leadership, and supervisory skills.
- Prior knowledge of operations management.
- Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set service goals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience using a CRM preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Project Management, or related field preferred, but not required.
- Five years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and sitting.
- Must be able to access and navigate the jobsite.
- Working environment may be subject to high temperatures, confined spaces, and
- heights.
- Capable of and comfortable with driving a pickup truck / cargo trailer combination
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
