We are seeking an experienced Diesel Shop Supervisor to join our team and take charge of the day-to-day operations of our diesel shop. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the supervision and training of our technicians while also coordinating the work both on company trucks and outside customers.
Daily Tasks
Manage shop inventory and order parts as necessary.
Provide training and guidance to ensure the team performs their duties efficiently.
Promptly respond to emergency situations (i.e. driver accidents and equipment breakdown) as they occur (during the day, night, and weekends).
Communicate with other departments on a daily basis about repair schedule and truck availability.
Handles onboarding, discipline, and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Assign technicians to perform repair and maintenance for company vehicles and equipment. Follow up with technicians to ensure work was completed properly.
Maintains database of maintenance and repair records for company vehicles and equipment.
Required Knowledge
- Proven experience in supervising diesel maintenance operations.
- Strong understanding of heavy diesel engine diagnosis and repairs.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in Automotive and Diesel technology.
- Commercial Driver’s License Class A, a plus.

- Valid Driver’s License
- Meets applicable guidelines of company’s insurers.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Expected Schedule
- Full-Time
- Shift of 8 hours, or more.
- Nights, as scheduled or assigned.
- Weekends, as scheduled or assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 per year
