Sales Manager Job Description
The Sales Manager position is responsible for managing and exceeding set sales targets through new contracts. The Sales Manager will manage a sales team and develop and apply strategies to reach goals. The Sales Manager will provide group and individual training, coaching, and support to motivate and develop the skill level of the sales team.
Essential Job Duties
- Provides leadership and develops teamwork.
- Develops sales plans to support the overall company revenue goals
- Support the sales team in achieving their individual and group goals
- Collaborate with the marketing department on strategies to increase lead generation
- Collaborates with the production manager to obtain insights on how to improve sales strategies and job margins
- Collaborates with the production coordinator to ensure all paperwork is being filled out correctly and in a timely manner by the sales team
- Reviews major sales proposals and assists in quoting complicated projects
- Assists sales team members in closing deals and sales presentations
- Represents the company in social events, conferences, and networking
- Encouraging the company culture by leading all sales activities and meetings
- Plans and leads regular sales meetings to discuss the market, sales strategies, and learning opportunities
- Teaches and reinforces dedication to 100% customer satisfaction and service
- Spends time with each sales team member coaching and training to improve sales skills and motivation
- Continually works to increase the sales closing percentages
- Holds sales team members accountable for accurate and detailed inspection photos, diligent notes, and thorough inspections
- Ensures project contracts are detailed, accurate, and note any potential liabilities
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and home insurance process
- Meet and discuss construction projects with insurance adjusters, engineers, and other stakeholders

Physical Abilities & Working Conditions
The majority of the Sales Manager work will be done at construction work sites and in the office. The Sales Manager will be exposed to varying temperatures ranges from heat 90 degrees plus to cold weather which could include temperatures in the teens, and rainy conditions. The Sales Manager frequently performs tasks requiring climbing, crawling, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, gripping and moving safely over uneven surfaces.
