Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Automotive Repair Service Manager to oversee our service department and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the automotive industry, and a proven track record in sales management. This role requires effective time management and the ability to train and develop team members while maintaining a focus on operational efficiency.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring all customer needs are met promptly and effectively.
- Lead, mentor, and develop service staff through training programs that enhance their skills and performance.
- Oversee service sales activities, including negotiating with customers to close sales effectively.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage cash handling processes, including cash register operations.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
- Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Implement strategies to improve service department performance and increase overall profitability.
Experience
- Proven experience in an automotive repair service management role or similar position is preferred.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in training development and team management.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse clientele.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating cash registers is desirable.
- A background in sales management is beneficial for driving service sales initiatives.
