Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to join our team. As a Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for restoring and repairing properties that have been damaged by fire, water, mold, or other disasters. Your expertise in restoration techniques and your ability to use various tools and equipment will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of restoration projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform restoration tasks such as water extraction, mold remediation, asbestos abatement, and fire restoration
- Clean and sanitize affected areas to prevent further damage or contamination
- Remove damaged materials and debris from the site
- Use hand tools and power tools to repair and rebuild structures
- Conduct carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning as needed
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients throughout the restoration process
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the restoration industry is preferred
- Knowledge of restoration techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in restoration work
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
