A family-owned and operated company is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for a 3rd shift position (waiting on hours). This role involves maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure smooth, efficient operations. Ideal candidates can read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, work orders, repair part requests, and both standard and metric tape measures. Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, scales, and VOM (Volt/Ohm meters) is a plus, as is prior experience in the paper industry. This full-time role offers competitive wages based on experience and productivity, with a 401K available after 6 months.

Responsibilities:

Consistently practice safe work habits.
Parallel rolls and make adjustments for optimal equipment performance.
Train other maintenance staff in qualifications and procedures.
Troubleshoot programmable controllers, AC and DC drives, and control systems.
Use maintenance software programs effectively.
Plan, schedule, and assign maintenance work based on team abilities.
Ensure all repairs and tasks are completed correctly and timely.
Complete all paperwork according to company guidelines.
Maximize equipment use by maintaining machinery to run at full capacity and speed.
Conduct preventative maintenance: lubricating, measuring wear, repositioning, and observing operations, vibration, and noise levels.
Troubleshoot and resolve AC and DC drive issues.
Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
Available to work necessary hours and shifts as required.
Maintain cleanliness in work areas.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
