Laidig Systems, Inc. is actively interviewing candidates for a Hydraulic/Electrical Technician. Laidig is looking for a positive, high energy, self-directed individual to join our growing team. A high school diploma or equivalent is required for the Hydraulic/Electrical Technician position. This position requires hands-on proficiency in electrical wiring, mechanical layout and hydraulic machine control systems. Job specific training provided.
This is a first shift position.
An entry-level Hydraulic/Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining the personal area of operation within the electrical/hydraulic area and performing the following functions:
- Layout and build from bill of material hydraulic power units of various sizes and capacities
- Performs hydraulic unit testing
- Adjust hydraulic units
- Mount and fabricate electrical control panels, operator stations and junction boxes
- Conducts quality conformance audits on control panels, operator stations and hydraulic power units
- Build hydraulic hose assemblies
- Submit performance reports to engineering as required
Personal tools required. Specialized tools will be provided by Laidig Systems.
Other responsibilities of the Hydraulic/Electrical Technician:
- Log work orders, performance reports, Standard Hours, etc.
- Advise Production Supervisor of any departmental problems.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner; obey all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work area at all times.
- Work overtime as required.
- Tool inventory and maintenance in area of responsibility.
- Perform other activities as required by supervisors.
- Cross train with Gearbox Assembly and Rebuild.
- Light welding and fabrication.
