Job Summary: The Facilities Manager oversees daily operations of company facilities, ensuring efficient space utilization, facility maintenance, safety compliance, and adherence to OSHA requirements. The role involves analysing facility needs in response to company growth or change, managing construction and installation projects, and coordinating office relocations. The Facilities Manager collaborates with Conservation & Sustainability teams to ensure facilities meet environmental goals and related stewardship standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Operations Oversight:
- Monitor and manage facility-related support services, ensuring effectiveness, quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Oversee mechanical and electrical systems maintenance, utility systems monitoring, office space planning, and general upkeep (including cleaning, repairs, and painting).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (federal, state, and local).
- Manage office and plant security, including key card maintenance and visitor log systems.
- Lead efforts in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) monitoring, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
Building Safety & Maintenance:
- Ensure building safety and upkeep of assets across all facilities.
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day facility maintenance, repairs, and emergency situations.
- Supervise the maintenance of critical infrastructure, including UPS, battery backups, generators, HVAC, and fire suppression systems.
- Maintain documentation and compliance for Life Safety Systems and Fire Suppression systems.
- Oversee building projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely, quality delivery.
Job Requirements:
Experience:
- Required: 4+ years of relevant experience in facilities management or related fields.
- Preferred: Experience in telecommunications industry or managing commercial building systems (e.g., fire alarms, chillers, HVAC).
- Familiarity with IWMS (Integrated Work Order Management System) for day-to-day maintenance operations.
Education:
- Required: BA/BS degree or High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Preferred: AS/AA or BS/BA in Construction, Building Management, or a related field.
