Position Overview:
The Product Category Manager - Compressors will be responsible for overseeing and driving the success of UAC’s compressor product line. This role encompasses market analysis, product development, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the profitability and growth of the compressor category. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in product management, a deep understanding of the automotive aftermarket, and expertise in ACES and PIES data standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Management: Oversee the compressor product line, including lifecycle management, cataloging, inventory control, and performance analysis.
- Market Research: Conduct research to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive products. Use insights to guide product development and marketing strategies.
- Product Development: Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to develop new compressor products, ensuring they meet market demands and quality standards.
- Data Management: Utilize ACES and PIES standards to manage product data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across platforms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, logistics, and customer service departments to ensure the successful execution of category strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, preferably within the automotive industry, focusing on compressors or related products.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the automotive aftermarket, ACES and PIES standards, and AutoCare Association’s guidelines.
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as NAV, Epicor, or SAP
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
