The HVAC Operations Manager is responsible for the onsite personnel resources, and the administrative management of all program activities. This position is responsible for assigning resources, site employee management, contract compliance and customer satisfaction. The HVAC Operations Manager will also be responsible for site budget compliance and spending, as well as ensuring all staff are compliant with company policy. As a member of the management team, this position will actively participate in strategic and tactical functions related to reliability of client facilities, profitability, business and development and industry leading standards.
Responsibilities
- Manages profit and loss performance.
- Oversee contract processing from negotiation through execution, including change order processing
- Conduct site assessments to determine project scope and requirements for multi-family properties.
- Prepare, submit and follow up on contracts
- Coordinate and supervise the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment
- Assist dispatcher in coordinating service calls and work with technicians to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of service issues and reduce unnecessary return trips.
- Schedule and monitor all activities of manpower, including worker productivity and safety
- Monitor technicians hours, efficiency, procedure compliance, entered solutions, and vehicle usage to ensure compliance with company standards and expectations.
- Provides regular feedback to owners and clients on progress made towards set goals.
- Manages personnel, focusing on safety, quality, goal setting, performance management, career development; and attracting, developing, and retaining a high-performance workforce.
- Directly supervises employees, which includes hiring, firing, training, motivating, performance management, supervision, and assigning tasks.
- Holds employees accountable and follow up on company policies and procedures.
- Reviews performance metrics, analyze and make corrections as required.
- Performs quality control audits.
- Maintains document compliance with all Federal, State and Local OSHA, EPA, other governing agencies.
- Maintains trade contact and participates in functions within industry and market associations.
Qualifications
- EPA & HVAC certification Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) Required and
- Experience: At least 3 years of HVAC service experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the install, repair and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical mind with sound judgment and exceptional attention to detail
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, motivate and develop a team of service technicians.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong communication skills.
- Have knowledge of the following trades/skills: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Microsoft Office skills required.
- Ability to identify problems, collect and analyze data and draw logical conclusions.
