A Day in the Life of an HVAC Installation Helper at Broadview Heating & Air Conditioning:
As our HVAC Equipment Installer, you will be a part of a dynamic and passionate team demonstrating competency with all types of equipment, including ductwork, gas furnaces, heat pumps, boilers, air conditioning units, mini-splits, hot water heaters and generators. Your skills for understanding and troubleshooting is unparalleled. The residential systems you will be working on are low voltage and require the utmost attention. Knowing how to plan ahead, troubleshoot and install these systems while applying all relevant codes. You are essentially a jack-of-all trades. Your customer service skills keep a smile on our client’s face as you accomplish the highest quality installations in the industry every single time. Being professional and demonstrating your industry knowledge will win new referrals and repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
· Remove, install and start up new HVAC systems including ductwork, hot water heaters and generators
· Attend meetings as required, review scheduled work with supervisor(s) to verify equipment and material lists, identify needed corrections and request equipment to complete each job
· Identify and request any fabricated materials required for installations for the week ahead
· Keep truck clean and organized at all times, restock materials as needed, and load equipment and materials needed for installation
· Follow defined installation procedures for HVAC equipment according to manufacturer installation instructions, Broadview Heating & Air Conditioning installation procedures and salesperson’s notes
· Aggressively identify and solve problems that might prevent the completion of work within budged time
· Complete repairs, improvements or installations within budged hours, in accordance with company standards while maintaining excellent quality workmanship
· Leave every jobsite neat, clean and free from debris
· Complete and properly fill out all electronic paperwork as required by management and track all materials used
· Collect payment for work preformed
· Track vehicle maintenance and alert management when maintenance is necessary
· Communicate with dispatch regarding installation status
· Identify and suggest solutions to customer on a cleaner, more comfortable, and energy efficient home
· Proactively provide excellent customer service
· Maintain a clean and professional appearance
· Clean driving record to be maintained at all times
Qualifications
· EPA Certified (NATE Preferred)
· Relevant Residential Install and Retro Fit experience
· Excellent customer service skills
· Follow controls/wiring schematic
· Ability to braze, solder and/or weld
· Problem Solver

· Good communicator
· Team player
· Adaptable
· Ability to meet the physical demands of the job such as carrying and lifting
· Valid Ohio Driver's License
· Clean driving and criminal record as required by state laws for home service companies protected by insurance carriers
· Education High-school or Equivalent
· Knowledge of Generators is a huge plus
· Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
