Overview & Narrative:
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The HVAC Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing HVAC systems across the company's portfolio of luxury apartment communities. Reporting to the Corporate Director of Facilities, they will collaborate with Regional Property Managers, Property Managers, Maintenance teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure optimal system performance.
This role is critical in minimizing reliance on outside vendors by providing cost-effective, in-house solutions while delivering superior service. The HVAC Technician will be expected to troubleshoot system issues, perform preventive maintenance, and execute necessary repairs or replacements to maximize efficiency and system longevity.
Responsibilities:
HVAC Technicians play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing HVAC systems across the residential multifamily portfolio. While they are responsible for system maintenance and new installations, a significant portion of their work involves diagnosing issues and providing cost-effective recommendations for repair or replacement.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Conducting thorough diagnostics to identify system inefficiencies, malfunctions, or failures.
· Providing informed, cost-effective recommendations for repairs or replacements to maximize system performance and longevity.
· Performing preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and emergency repairs.
· Installing, repairing, and replacing HVAC systems as needed across multiple properties.
· Collaborating with Regional Property Managers, Property Managers, and Maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective HVAC solutions.
· Minimizing reliance on outside vendors by delivering in-house expertise and service.
· Ensuring compliance with company standards, safety protocols, meeting state, local, federal HVAC codes and industry best practices.
· Exchanging knowledge and education to junior team members and those less skilled in HVAC practices and principles.
· Received work orders electronically and verbal instructions from supervisor and/or members of operations management.
· Logs, documents, and memorializes inventory, service, and equipment information using company-approved technology and software.
· Assists other team members with various tasks as directed and performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· Must have and maintain reliable transportation and valid driver's license
· Demonstrated proficiency utilizing computers, software, & mobile applications to document work orders and track maintenance tasks in order to communicate effectively with team members.
· Ability to access and interpret digital diagnostics for HVAC systems to ensure accurate troubleshooting and repairs.
· EPA Section 608 Type II Certification required (Universal Certification Highly Preferred)
· 3-5 years hands on experience in HVAC diagnostics, installations, and maintenance required.
· Must be proficient with a variety of tools and detail oriented.
· Proven ability to plan and prioritize tasks independently, maintaining high productivity without direct supervision.
· Must be comfortable working within a team and following directions.
· Ability to stand and maintain fast-paced mobility throughout the entire shift.
· Must be able to maintain balance, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and wipe.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
