TrueCar is seeking an Employee Communications and Engagement Specialist with a passion for the employee experience. In this role reporting to the VP, People, the Employee Communications and Engagement Specialist will set up the roadmap for all the moments that matter in our employee journey. You'll work with key organizational stakeholders to deliver a delightful employee experience in our remote workplace driving productivity, engagement, and retention linked to our culture and core values. This position will also manage the internal communications process and ensure clear, consistent, and impactful communications are created and shared across the organization enabling access to the right information, at the right time, and in an easily accessible manner. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a strong sense of ownership, and exceptional organization and project management skills.
How you'll contribute to TrueCar's success:
- Employee Journey: Map out and assess all of the programs and communications in the employee journey.
- Surveys: Set up the process and timeline for the employee engagement and pulse survey, working closely with the People Business partner team to design, communicate, and report metrics. Support the follow-up and action-planning process.
- Employee Engagement: Continuously monitor and analyze employee engagement, culture, and sentiment of our remote workplace and design processes and programs to facilitate connection, recognition, belonging, and retention such as Crew Connections, in-person and virtual experiences, speaker series, end-of-year gifting and surprise and delights throughout the year.
- Intranet: Own the design, content, and management of the PitStop, our employee intranet, and source for shared information, ensuring information is relevant and consistently updated.
- Communications: Create internal employee communications based on organization needs and stakeholder feedback, including the quarterly Crew Newsletter, with clear processes and guidelines for how and when we communicate most effectively.
- Process and Systems: Ensure tools and systems are in place to support the employee experience and communication processes. Utilize and monitor tools such as AllVoices, Pyn, Simpplr, and other platforms contributing to experience and communications.
- Employer Brand: Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to create and facilitate programs and communications aligned to our employer brand and employee value proposition.
- Change Management and Crisis Communication: Connect with employees and leaders to monitor the organization's pulse and work with the People Business Partner team to facilitate change management where needed. In times of emergency, check on employees and create communications to ensure everyone is informed.
- Stay current on leading employee experience trends to benchmark and identify best practices.
- Ensure all campaigns, activations, events, and messaging are delivered professionally and thoroughly and always in support of our values and operating processes so they effectively enhance our employee experience and value proposition.
Your Expertise:
- Possess a passion for the employee experience typically demonstrated with a proven track record of positively impacting engagement through successful programs, processes, and communications.
- Understanding of how employee experience and communication concepts work together to achieve maximum benefit for the organization
- Ability to lead processes and programs in an organized and effective manner with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a relationship-oriented and complex environment while effectively managing stakeholder expectations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create unique messaging and content that may be shared across all levels of the organization
- Understanding of communication strategies, tactics, and best practices
- Creative mindset with a sense of curiosity and desire to produce engaging experiences
- Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive people data and business issues
- Experience working within a People team and a general understanding of basic HR concepts, preferred
Base salary range: $90,000 - $122,000
