Overview
Violet Crown Veterinary Specialists, opened in August, 2023, is the only privately-owned veterinary specialty and emergency practice in the Austin area. Situated in Bee Cave, TX, VCVS is located in an affluent lakeside suburb in the Texas Hill Country, just 20 minutes west of downtown Austin. Prior to opening a brick and mortar location, we provided 10 years of mobile surgery services in the Austin area, developing close relationships with primary care veterinarians and establishing a solid referral base. Since opening our hospital, we have expanded to 3 surgeons, a medical oncologist, a criticalist, and a 24/7 emergency room staffed by 5 emergency doctors and additional relief doctors as needed.
Responsibilities
As Marketing Director for VCVS you will spearhead opportunities for promoting our brand to pet owners and referring general practices. Job responsibilities will include developing effective marketing strategies to ensure hospital wide growth.
- Present creative ideas and collaborate with VCVS owners and management to develop strategies for revenue growth
- Oversee the implementation of marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and grow brand visibility via traditional avenues, digital and social media branding
- Visit referring hospitals representing our brand to help develop and maintain relationships with referring veterinarians, practice managers, and staff
- Increase brand awareness by finding marketing events and outreach opportunities within Austin such as pet friendly events, fun runs, etc
- Create and distribute print marketing materials to referring hospitals and partners
- Generate content for a monthly electronic newsletter for distribution to regional veterinary hospitals and veterinarians
- Coordinate with hospital departments to maintain the content calendar for all marketing communications and social media campaigns
- Manage social media by curating content through photography and video production and increase engagement
- Routinely audit company website to ensure aesthetics, content, and accuracy
- Work closely with contracted SEO/SEM company to ensure an effective online presence
- Coordinate continuing education events for referring veterinarians
- Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure support with marketing strategies
- Track spending on marketing strategies and analyze conversion metrics for marketing campaigns to understand effectiveness of individual strategies, making recommendations for improvement
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have a college degree in business, marketing, communications, or similar field. Experience in marketing and healthcare is a plus. The candidate must be a motivated self-starter with a creative vision. They should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a clear and composed communicator.

Schedule:
Flexible work schedule, 8-10 hour days, 4-5 days a week. Occasional evening or weekend responsibilities will be required for marketing events.
