Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Regional Business Development (BD) Manager is to support the expansion and technical sales support activities for various contractor-focused products, including Indoor Air Quality, Electrical, Condensate Management, Ductless products, and tools. As a key member of the sales team, this role will lead technical training, provide technical support, conduct distributor training, offer contractor support, and manage all accounts within an assigned geographic area. Furthermore, the Regional Business Development Manager will act as a Subject Matter Expert across all categories, collaborating with manufacturer representatives and distributor sales staff to create demand among contractors.

Essential Duties

Oversees and guides manufacturer’s representative tasks to expand the target market channel, focusing on contractor pull-through.
Develops and delivers technical sales presentations for all contractor-focused products, generating demand in key categories.
Conducts external sales and training activities for contractors and distributors.
Identifies, maintains, and expands business to meet or exceed annual sales budgets.
Collaborates with owners, territory managers, and contractors to optimize pricing for projects and maximize profits.
Stays informed about the market, including our daily operating environment and competitive landscape.
Attends and participates in trade shows, training sessions, conferences, and sales meetings.
Maintains product knowledge to recommend best customer solutions.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Educational Requirements

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
5 – 7 years of experience in managing sales territories focusing on replacement products and/or HVAC/R industry
Proven sales expertise with a history of driving profitable growth by acquiring new business and retaining accounts
Excellent technical writing skills to effectively communicate product selection and application advice to customers in both pre-sales and post-sales phases
Intermediate experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as management/data management systems
Ability to simplify technical explanations
Proficient in multi-tasking, task prioritization, and managing multiple projects efficiently
Capable of completing projects accurately and promptly while meeting deadlines
Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills
Experience working in a fast paced and high-volume work environment
Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach, attention to detail, initiative, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with all employee levels including executive management, as well as customers and vendors
Valid Driver’s License
