Position Overview:
The HVAC Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our HVAC service and installation teams. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong technical background in HVAC systems, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the HVAC service and installation departments, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor HVAC technicians and installers. Provide ongoing support, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance service quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve issues effectively.
- Budget Management: Manage departmental budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment costs. Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures where applicable.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all HVAC services and installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety standards. Promote a culture of safety and adherence to industry best practices.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on departmental performance, including key metrics such as service response times, job completion rates, and customer feedback. Use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC operations, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation procedures, and industry standards. Relevant certifications (e.g., NATE, EPA) preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HVAC, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
