Our passion to bring our best thinking forward everyday drives our success. We are currently seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team in Austin, TX.
Project Managers (PMs) are responsible for the end-to-end project management and successful delivery of concurrent projects across multiple media channels including, but not limited to digital, video, print and social media. The position calls for broad knowledge of the digital and print landscape and the ability to lead campaigns in close collaboration with internal teams, marketing partners, business stakeholders and external technical teams. PMs serve as the day-to-day contact for marketing partners on projects in a cohort. The PM ensures the team is set up for success, and helps the team stay focused on the goals.
PMs are effective communicators between marketing partners and agency stakeholders (technical/non-technical). At any given time, PMs must be able to manage a workload of approximately 5-25 projects with life cycles of several weeks to several months.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement process updates within the project management team and creative agency, specifically in regards to video production
- Develop strong partnerships with the account team to provide a unified voice of the agency to marketing partners
- Provide accurate assessments and counsel during project pipeline planning and project intake conversations, to determine feasibility, resource availability, and completeness of information for scoping
- Run projects of all Tiers with agency resources, from project intake to delivery to project retrospective analysis
- Manage marketing partner expectations on projects, including timing, scope, and next steps
- Manage workflow using the agency’s project management system, Workfront, including opening jobs, creating schedules, securing resources, managing communications
- Move projects forward by removing blockers, mitigating risks and escalating friction points in a timely manner to cohort leads for further resolution
- Provide ongoing visibility of project health by maintaining up-to-date project information in Workfront for various reporting and analysis
- Act as liaison between technical, strategy, creative, account and production teams to ensure end results deliver on time
- Act as primary or support project manager on projects in a cohort, as needed
- Participate and support cohort team health through cross-functional team partnership (if assigned to a cohort)
- Offer feedback, participate and pilot team and agency initiatives
Required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of account and project management experience working directly with clients, creative teams and technical teams. A strong solutions-oriented approach, user-experience focus and understanding of agency processes required.
- Experience working within C2 at Schwab as a contractor or associate
- A proven track record of success delivering a wide range of medium and large-scale projects
- Experience working within an established agency, consultancy or marketing firm
- Experience in developing and implementing process improvements that impact creative teams, animators, motion graphics and live action team
- Experience recruiting and assisting on-set talent
- Proven experience leading and producing live action film shoots
- Experience managing and communicating expenses and negotiating with third party vendors
- Deep understanding of Schwab Vendor Management Organization Processes
- Deep understanding of animation and motion design and ability to articulate differences and best practices for utilization
- Proven ability to collaborate and build relationship across disciplines
- Have a solid grasp of basic and advanced project management principles along with experience in successfully applying and advancing those principles
Preferred:
- Ability to make good decisions quickly and provide alternate solutions in times of problem
- Ability to excel in a team environment
- Strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills with attention to detail while working under pressure
- Experience with enterprise level project management tools such as Workfront, JIRA or Basecamp
- A positive attitude and the flexibility to operate in an environment with deadlines and changing demands
- Proficiency with Windows
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Background and experience in sound design a plus
- Entrepreneurial experience a plus
- Experience in highly regulated environments or at a financial institution is a plus
In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
