Candidate Requirements
- Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English
- Full availbility to work on weekends (8 hours Sat & 13 hours Sun)
- Have a working knowledge of basic computer and technology skills
- 5 years of experience managing employees in a retail or service based business such as a restaurant
- Demonstrated success and advancement in managing people
- This job requires your full time and undivided business efforts
What Your Role Will Look Like:
- Each weekend we open our business to thousands of Spanish speaking visitors and hundreds of vendors that come to ourc place of business to sell their products.
- We bring in live music each Saturday and Sunday and we offer various forms of entertainment for our visitors along with food trailer concepts provided by food vendors.
- The manager is responsible for the entire weekend operation of the business and its employees.
- This job requires you to work part of your full time hours on Saturday and Sunday.
- You are the person who is monitoring all employee needs, whether it be filling a no-show POS position, navigating computer glitches, power outages, and even disgruntled customers.
- If the front line employees are properly trained, most issues resolve themselves without much difficulty.
- The position currently has 2 part time personal assistants at its disposal but additional hours or help is available if required

We need someone who will not expect to come in on day one and have a manual to be told what to do but rather someone who is proactive and willing to learn on the job and contribute to the overall improvement of the business operations.

Cash Management:
- Responsible for the accurate collection and counting of all sales revenue. This includes the creation of good cash drawer management and enforcement of policies, processes and procedures for each sales location inside of the market. Responsible for developing, implementing, training and enforcing these policies, processes and procedures with all appropriate employees. Responsible for reconciling cash count with pos data to ensure accuracy and prevent theft/loss.
Employee Management
- Responsible for hiring, managing, reviewing and firing (if needed) weekend staff. This includes crafting job descriptions, training materials, policies, processes and procedures.
- Responsible for training, evaluating, and promoting weekend staff.
- Responsible for ensuring that employees perform to a high standard. This includes managing the private security team as well as the off duty Sheriff's officers we contract on the weekend.
- Responsible for employee policy development and documentation such as creating training programs
Property Management
- Responsible for coordinating with Steve and/or Ramon Chavez, the facilities and maintenance manager, regarding any subcontractors hired throughout the weekday to perform various maintenance and construction tasks. GM and Steve will share responsibility for obtaining bids when necessary and hiring subcontractors for various repair and maintenance related projects during the week.
- Monitor the condition of the company property, facilities and food services for cleanliness, proper signage, safety and efficient operation.
- Maintain compliance with any and all governmental regulations and requirements.
Vendor Management
- Responsible for managing all issues related to our weekend vendors. This includes the collection of rent and fees, monitoring them for rules compliance, and resolving any vendor related issues.
Customer Service
- Responsible for ensuring that our guests have a great experience in our market, are treated well, do not have to wait in long lines, and have clean bathrooms to use
Administrative
- Provide leadership to the organization by assisting with the development and implementation of systems, procedures and guidelines for the smooth operation of the business.
- Manage in house and outsourced administrative processes.
- Responsible for various administrative duties, such as receiving and forwarding mail, answering phone calls, responding to emails and phone calls, maintaining an orderly office, filing important papers, and renewing various licenses.
- Maintaining compliance with Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission reporting and training practices.
- Ensure company, client and vendor file integrity.
- Maintain oversight and ensure accuracy of Food and Beverage inventory, fixtures, tool inventory, etc.
- Assist in selecting and managing software tools to increase company efficiency and to have a paperless office environment and workflow.
Financial Management
- Assist with expense payments, create and monitor expense reports so expenses are accurately tracked, approved and categorized in our software system.
- Ensure adherence to annual budget goals.
- Prepare budgets for special projects as needed
Security/Parking Lot Management
- Responsible for evaluating both in house and contracted security services for quality and value of perfomance.
