HVAC Service Technician Job Duties Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair heating and cooling equipment.
- Perform maintenance on heating and cooling equipment.
- Analyze system for safety and efficiency.
- Offer various solutions to heating, cooling, indoor air quality issues for residential and clients.
- Communicate with customers regarding options and costs, obtaining approval for repairs/replacements.
- Document services, explaining guarantees/warranties, collecting payment, and delivering payment to the office.
- Promote service Memberships.
- Additional duties as assigned.
HVAC Service Technician Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years HVAC service experience
- Universal EPA Certification
- Service experience with traditional split systems, hydronic systems, mini-split systems, humidifiers, water heaters, Space-pak and Unico systems
- Work with industry-related tools, materials and supplies including ductwork
- Ability to regularly move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Detail oriented and customer service focused
- Strong listening and communication skills
- NATE Certification a plus
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Willingness and ability to learn, attend classes for professional advancement
