Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can troubleshoot issues effectively and ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with heating and cooling systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure efficiency and longevity.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and appliance repair tasks.
- Conduct ammonia refrigeration system maintenance when required.
- Operate a van to transport tools and equipment to job sites safely.
- Weld components as necessary for repairs or installations.
- Follow safety protocols while working with high-pressure systems and hazardous materials.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with various HVAC/R systems, including boilers and chillers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience in equipment repair and maintenance is essential.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for van operation.
- Certification in HVAC or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
