Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day to day operations of entire branch
- Coordinate activities of the maintenance, service, and indoor air quality departments to effect operational efficiency; uses system generated and locally produced reports to monitor field performance and identify areas for improvement
- Implements organizational policies and goals.
- Coordinates activities of the following field service departments: Maintenance, Service, Indoor Air Quality, and Installation, to effect operational efficiency and economy. Training schedules, recruiting, motivation, and administrative interface are part of this coordination. Uses system generated and locally produced reports to monitor field performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitors Dispatcher(s) and dispatch board activity to ensure effective scheduling of technicians to maximize call volume/capacity as well ensure "right tech/right call" and labor control.
- Collaborates with the District Manager on creating and managing budget
- Generated reports and measures of departmental operations as well as records on all inventory, tools, and vehicles
- Reviews reports with upper management
- Instructs crews on proper use of materials and quality workmanship
- Reviews payroll records to ensure that technicians are paid properly
- Communicated with dispatchers to ensure appropriate technicians for types of service
- Evaluates staff to determine training requirements
- Ensures that company vehicles are properly stocked, that defective warranty parts are returned to the branch and that vehicle standard stock is ordered and replenished as needed
- Additional related duties as assigned/needed by upper management
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead
- Must be able to climb and work on ladders
- Must be able to use hand and power tools
- High school diploma or GED are required
- A working knowledge of plumbing and HVAC are required
- Valid driver's license is required
- Strong supervisory, communication and computer skills are required
- Ability to work after regular business hours as needed
