Maintenance Technician Manager
AI Innovations is a wholesale only sign, channel letter, and awning manufacturer that serves retail sign and awning companies across the U.S. since 1999. We are now one of the largest wholesale-only sign designer, fabricator, and manufacturer in the country by both square footage and employee manpower. We serve customers nationwide from our location near Indianapolis, Indiana.
We are seeking a dynamic professional who possesses an analytical mind, organization, attention to detail and strong leadership, to join our team as the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager will oversee the repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance of various building and office machines and equipment while focusing on safety.
Responsibilities:
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on production machines.
- Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
- Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts, small tool repair and inventory.
- Training employees and managers on building, machine, and other safety procedures during orientation.
- Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
- Collaborates with Manager regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
- Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with Manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
- Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.
- Implement workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Critical Skills
- Must have minimum of 5 years of building compliance and safety with extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and EVAC
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed.
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports, logs, and inventory.
- Forklift Certification and Training skills.
- Must be proactive and detail oriented.
- Standing for long periods of time, bending, lifting of heavy product from shelving to table. Exposure to plant conditions. Work performed in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
