Overview
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is the essential on-the-ground content specialist for the Marketing & Communications team, capturing and sharing the exciting stories and events happening across one of Austin's top private schools. This role is all about gathering engaging content, actively managing our social media channels, and ensuring a consistent and appealing online presence. You'll also handle various administrative tasks, supporting admissions, fundraising, internal communications, branding, public relations, and event coordination efforts.
As a key player in our four-person team, you'll report directly to the Marketing & Communications Director and work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager and Graphic Designer. We're looking for a proactive, organized individual who can juggle multiple tasks and contribute to the overall success of our school's marketing and communication strategies.
Primary Responsibilities
· Content Management: Gather, manage, and organize content, including photos and videos, to support various marketing initiatives.
· Team Coordination: Serve as the intra-team point of contact, coordinating tasks, schedules, meeting agendas and notes, and calendars. Monitor and engage with social media channels.
· Administrative Support: Manage day-to-day calendaring, scheduling, and reminders of team meetings. Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the marketing team.
· Communication: Edit and publish the school’s weekly newsletter. Write and edit copy for various marketing materials.
· Digital Presence: Assist in creating and posting content to social media channels. Make updates to the website as required using the content management system (CMS).
· Project Management: Assist the Marketing Manager with project management tasks as needed.
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, advertising, or a related field.
Technical Skills
· Proficiency in photography, videography, and photo editing.
· Excellent business or journalistic writing and editing skills.
· Command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
· Proficiency with MS Office products, Google Suite, and Adobe products.

Hours, Environment & Culture
· Work Hours
o School Year: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., with some evening and weekend events.
o Summer: Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
