As the Influencer and Community Marketer at Whole Foods Market, you will be responsible for day-to-day influencer marketing and organic social community operations. You will collaborate closely within the Influencer, Organic Social and Social Care Teams to play an important role in nurturing Whole Foods Market’s connection with our existing community and partners with effective, engaging communication, while also expanding our footprint, driving brand relevancy and the business forward.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the brand’s advocate, embodying its values and mission while representing it across all social interactions with consistent tone and voice.
- Maintain active brand presence across Facebook, Instagram, Threads and TikTok with personalized responses and engagement with comments on owned content and in direct messages.
- Engage with brand tags and mentions from UGC, suppliers, press, organic and sponsored Influencers.
- Identify and create thoughtful “surprise & delight” opportunities such as customized mailers and gift card sends to drive brand love.
- Coordinate with social care team to monitor and surface opportunities, trends or brand harm in direct and indirect social conversation, flagging high risk mentions for PR team.
- Research (through community interactions and leveraging our Captiv8 tool), identify and surface influencers that authentically represent and reach new and existing Whole Foods Market customers across various social media channels and emerging platforms for in-house and agency campaigns.
- Support Senior Strategist with influencer operations such as brief inputs, contracting, onboarding, invoicing, and maintaining reporting dashboards.
- Own end-to-end execution of localized influencer activity supporting our new store openings.
- Collaborate with organic and paid social teams to leveraging influencer activity organically and/or in paid (whitelisting, boosting/sparking, etc.) when/where appropriate.
- Provide marketing org with insight into Organic Social and Influencer channel plans, compiling into monthly channel newsletter and adding activity to PM CMS (Monday.com), making updates as plans evolve and go live.
- Monitor and maintain strong understanding of activity from competitors, other aspirational brands and influencer culture to gauge trends and campaign inspiration in a consistently changing landscape.
- Contribute to trends workstream, staying current on food trends across platforms to inform real time social content, curate lists to educate store team members and make monthly updates to shoppable “hot on social” aisle on Whole Foods Market on Amazon.
Requirements:
- 2+ years' relevant professional experience in social media and influencer marketing at a retail corporation or agency.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- First-hand community management experience across Facebook, Instagram, Threads and Tiktok.
- In depth understanding of how to drive engagement and brand advocacy across key social. media platforms while keeping up to date on emerging platforms.
- Well-versed in Internet and pop culture trends, especially in the food space.
- Capable and driven to quickly learn new things and continually expand skill set.
- Proactive problem-solving skills: ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate. solutions/ideas, changing course as needed.
- Excellent personal organization skills with extraordinary attention to detail.
- Competent in personal time and self-managing deadlines.
- Thoughtful communicator with polished verbal and written skills, with an ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Exemplary work ethic and disciplined thinking are a must.
