We are seeking an experienced and professional Chief Butler and Estate Manager to oversee the daily operations of a prestigious estate, whether the residents are present or traveling. This dual role combines the traditional butler duties of creating a comfortable and welcoming home with comprehensive estate management responsibilities, including staff supervision, property maintenance management, and light construction oversight. The successful candidate will be exceptionally organized, flexible, and personable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Household Operations Management:
- Oversee all property operations.
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for the facilities team, vendors, and contractors.
- Ensure all systems, including HVACs, internet networks, electronic gates, and pool equipment, are in excellent working order.
- Oversee compliance with safety, security, and confidentiality standards.

- Staff Supervision and Coordination:
- Supervise and manage the housekeeping staff by organizing their schedules, providing training, ensuring quality control, and conducting regular check-ins to review progress.

- Family and Guest Services:
- Provide exceptional hospitality to the family and guests.
- Coordinate consistent seasonal details, menu and dining schedules, and pet and travel transitions to ensure a warm and inviting home.
- Run errands for the family as needed.

- Property Maintenance and Vendor Coordination:
- Conduct regular property inspections.
- Coordinate with external contractors for repairs and services.
- Maintain property records.
- Ensure the estate’s interior and exterior meet the highest standards.

- Inventory and Supply Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of household supplies, wardrobes, and vehicle-related items.
- Coordinate procurement and replenishment.
- Ensure proper care of fine goods.

- Administrative Duties:
- Organize and maintain detailed records of household operations and schedules using digital tools.
- Collaborate with the Domestic Manager and the Family to coordinate requests, manage schedules, address estate maintenance, and ensure the seamless operation of the household.
Experience/Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5 years in estate management or luxury hospitality, with expertise in service and property operations.
- Experience in dealing with high-net-worth (HNW) individuals, managing high-end lifestyles, amenities, travel, and assets.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and manage daily operations and long-term projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues, including onsite pet management (feeding and managing pet schedules for exercise and training).
- Proficiency in scheduling, inventory management, budgeting, and project management software, including Google Workspace.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
- Experience in light repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the estate.
Physical Requirements:
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability and license to drive a motor vehicle in Texas.
- Ability to perform job duties requiring mobility.
- Familiarity with essential household maintenance tools and procedures.
