We’re looking for a passionate, creative, and self-driven Social Media Manager to oversee our content creation, engagement, and growth on platforms like YouTube Shorts, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Curation:
- Develop, shoot, and edit creative content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram (Reels, Stories, Feed), Facebook, and Pinterest.
- Plan and create original photos, videos, and graphics to promote Better Shea Butter’s products, values, and seasonal campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Better Shea Butter team to align content with marketing initiatives, product launches, and promotions.
- Social Media Management:
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule across all platforms (YouTube Shorts, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest) to ensure ongoing engagement and brand visibility.
- Monitor social media trends and incorporate them into content for maximum reach and engagement.
- Analytics & Strategy:
- Track and analyze the performance of all social media content, adjusting strategies based on audience insights, engagement metrics, and trends.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports and share insights with the marketing team to optimize future content.
- Plan social media campaigns in coordination with product launches, promotions, and seasonal activities.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Participate in weekly team meetings (in-person at the office 2x per week) to align on content goals and brand messaging.
- Work closely with other team members on special projects, influencer partnerships, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Content Scheduling:
- Use scheduling tools (like Buffer, Hootsuite, or Later) to plan and schedule posts for maximum engagement.
- Ensure timely posting and monitor social media activity
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- At least 2-3 years of professional experience managing social media accounts for brands (preferably in the beauty, skincare, or lifestyle industry).
- Proven track record of growing social media presence, engagement, and website traffic.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in video editing (basic to intermediate skills with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other editing software).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest) and their best practices.
- Ability to write compelling captions, create engaging content, and tell brand stories through visual media.
- Experience with social media management and scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Later).
- Analytical mindset with experience using analytics tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, Facebook Analytics, YouTube Analytics) to measure content performance.
- Creative & Organizational Abilities:
- A keen eye for design and visual content creation; ability to work with brand guidelines to ensure consistent messaging.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple social media platforms and content calendars simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $20 - $30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications). Estimated weekly hours: 25-33 hours.
- This is a part-time, flexible position with potential for growth into a full-time role based on performance and company needs.
