General Manager – Residential HVAC Vaco Phoenix is seeking a highly motivated General Manager with strong leadership skills and a passion for driving business success in the residential heating and cooling industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of HVAC experience and a proven track record as a GM at a company with annual revenues of at least $10M/year. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
As General Manager, you will oversee sales, operations, and administrative functions—including call center, dispatch, and back-office support—to drive business growth and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead overall business operations to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the customer base and increase market share.
- Oversee daily activities across service, installation, and customer support teams to maintain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Build, train, and motivate a strong team of managers, technicians, and support staff.
- Ensure that dispatch and customer service teams operate smoothly, optimizing scheduling and response times.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor business performance, analyze trends, and implement improvements where needed.
- Establish and maintain vendor and partner relationships to support operational needs.
- Identify challenges and proactively develop solutions to enhance business success.
What You Bring:
- 10 years’ HVAC experience with knowledge of HVAC systems including design and troubleshooting.
- Strong track record of increasing revenue and improving operational efficiency.
- Experience managing service technicians, installers, dispatch teams, and customer support staff.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with modern business technology, including Apple devices and Microsoft Office 365.
- Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. when necessary.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
