General Manager – Residential HVAC Vaco Phoenix is seeking a highly motivated General Manager with strong leadership skills and a passion for driving business success in the residential heating and cooling industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of HVAC experience and a proven track record as a GM at a company with annual revenues of at least $10M/year. As General Manager, you will oversee sales, operations, and administrative functions—including call center, dispatch, and back-office support—to drive business growth and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead overall business operations to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the customer base and increase market share.
- Oversee daily activities across service, installation, and customer support teams to maintain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Build, train, and motivate a strong team of managers, technicians, and support staff.
- Ensure that dispatch and customer service teams operate smoothly, optimizing scheduling and response times.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor business performance, analyze trends, and implement improvements where needed.
- Establish and maintain vendor and partner relationships to support operational needs.
- Identify challenges and proactively develop solutions to enhance business success.
What You Bring:
- 10 years’ HVAC experience with knowledge of HVAC systems including design and troubleshooting.
- Strong track record of increasing revenue and improving operational efficiency.
- Experience managing service technicians, installers, dispatch teams, and customer support staff.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with modern business technology, including Apple devices and Microsoft Office 365.
- Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. when necessary.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
