Position Overview:
The Master Electrician/Project Manager will be responsible for managing electrical installation projects for LED lighting systems. The role combines technical electrical expertise with project management to oversee job sites, schedules, budgets, and teams, ensuring successful project completion. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of electrical and lighting system installations, ensuring they meet safety, design, and performance standards.
- Supervise and coordinate on-site teams, including electricians and subcontractors, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
- Review and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and design specifications to ensure proper execution of plans.
- Ensure that electrical work adheres to local and national codes (NEC), safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to maintain compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment.
- Maintain and manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and reports.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, resolving project-related issues and providing regular updates.
- Identify potential risks or challenges and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
- Licensed Master Electrician with a valid certification in Nevada or the ability to obtain one.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical installation and project management, preferably in commercial construction or lighting projects.
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical safety standards.
- Experience managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct on-site teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar).
- Effective problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in lighting installation projects or large-scale construction projects.
- Working knowledge of procurement processes and coordination with suppliers.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient technologies and LED lighting systems.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily on-site at project locations with some office-based work for planning and reporting.
- May require extended hours or weekend work, depending on project deadlines.
- Travel to job sites as needed, typically within the Las Vegas region.
