Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and be proficient in both high and low voltage applications. This role requires expertise in various electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The Electrician will work closely with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure all electrical work is completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment according to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Perform troubleshooting on electrical systems using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Work with high voltage systems as well as low voltage applications.
- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its application in various settings.
- Experience as an industrial electrician is preferred.
- Familiarity with both high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Basic understanding of frame carpentry as it relates to electrical installations.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
