Position Summary:
The HVAC Apprentice is an entry-level role designed to support the HVAC Technician and Lead HVAC Technician in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position involves on-the-job training to gain practical experience in the HVAC industry, with the ultimate goal of becoming a fully qualified HVAC Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance in HVAC Installations: Assist in the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Support in Maintenance and Repair: Aid in routine maintenance and repairs of HVAC systems, including replacing filters, cleaning ducts, and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Tool and Equipment Handling: Learn and handle HVAC tools and equipment under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers professionally and courteously while on job sites, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing learning to develop a strong understanding of HVAC systems and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical or trade school program in HVAC is preferred.
- Experience: No prior experience is necessary; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license; EPA certification is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Physical Demands: The position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. The work may involve exposure to extreme temperatures and confined spaces.
- Work Schedule: Full-time position with the possibility of overtime, including evenings and weekends, depending on workload and customer needs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $36.12 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
