I am looking for a Maintenance Technician/HVAC to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will also perform maintenance tasks as requested. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities
- Repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Perform manual repairs when necessary
- Must be able to repair and troubleshoot Central AC units, Wall units and Thermostats.
- Must be flexible and able to be on call as scheduled by management for after hour’s emergencies.
- Must be able to complete written work orders in occupied apartments.
- Basic electrical skills to include repairing and installing light fixtures, vent fans and electrical outlets.
- Be familiar with and follow preventative maintenance manual procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus but not required
- Must be able to work neatly.
- Must be professional and have good common sense and judgment.
- Must be organized and able to follow directions.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.73 - $22.78 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
