Florida Education Institute is looking for an HVAC Instructor to provide quality career education and prepare students for a career as HVAC Technicians. Our candidate is someone that can provide hands-on instruction to students and can follow our curriculum guidelines.
General Functions
Teaching students how to become HVAC Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technicians by way of hands-on instructions, including theory and demonstrations.
Provide HVAC/R career education and specific instruction to students that inspires and prepares them for employment and career success.
Use teaching resources provided by institute to teach HVAC/R classes based on course objectives.
Responsible for maintaining the HVAC/R lab up to date, clean, and safe for student use.
Demonstrate excellent understanding and supports of all administrative policies and procedures.
Follows the policies, procedures, and best practices in the Faculty Manual.
Timely records and enters attendance, grades, and student progress notes in the student information system (SIS).
Responsible for the student attendance record and overall retention for each course taught.
Collaborates with Academic Coordinator to assure academic advising and student support services produces an excellent student experience.
Maintain a high level of student satisfaction and retention.
Prepares and organizes daily lesson plans directly from course syllabus and teaching resources provided.
Collaborates with academic staff and administration to continuously improve the education provided.
Submit all instructor student academic and administrative reports timely and completely.
Assure structured discipline and appropriate classroom management is being practiced.
Assist students in receiving academic and student support services that are beyond the instructor level.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
