HVAC & Refrigeration Technician (Northern Indiana & Chicago Area)
Well established 30 year old refrigeration manufacturer and service company is accepting resumes for HVAC & Refrigeration Technicians. We offer very high pay with great benefits including late model take home service trucks, expense accounts , health insurance, up to one month annual paid vacation, tool allowance of $2,000.00 per year, phone allowance of $600.00 per year and uniform allowance of $600.00 per year. Last year our HVAC/R Technicians averaged over $50.00 per hour plus a great benefit package.
As an ICC technician you will be treated as a professional, you will not be required to enter a stranger's house and wear the booties. You will not be expected to sell unnecessary services or equipment. You will no longer be listening to customer's complaints as you prepare invoices and wait around to collect money. You will receive the best wages and benefits in the area for your professional technician services.
Must have great driving record, pass background check with no felonies and pass drug screening.

Saturday to Friday pay period. Our typical work week is 44 - 52 hours.
Starting time will normally be from 06:00 - 08:00 each day. May work evening and night hours. ICC technicians share On-Call week and are paid an additional $150.00 per week of on call plus hourly pay totaling over $84.50 per hour for services performed weekends, holidays and after hours. In addition each technician receives a monthly bonus check of the first of each month that includes bonus and spiff money. These checks average $1,000 to over $3,000 per month.
ICC offers 4 technician pay scales
Shop Training up to$38.50
A/C Technician up to $44.50 per hour
Commercial Refrigeration Technician $54.50 per hour
Welding Technician $62.50 per hour
PT time $84.50 per hour
Paid weekly by Direct Deposit. Pay period ends Friday at midnight.
Furnished take home late model service truck
Group Anthem family health and AFLAC insurance. Company pays 60% and the employee pays 40%. Insurance companies require a 90 day waiting period.
Requirements or Expectations:
ICC has a dedicated training room at the office. We have paid staff training
1 -2 days per month. The ICC training program will transition successful applicant into a very high paying occupation.

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration and air conditioning units.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to execute installations and repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service while communicating technical information clearly.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and document service reports accurately.
- Collaborate with construction teams and other service technicians to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proficient in HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in appliance repair
- Familiarity with HVAC design and schematics
- Background in plumbing and property maintenance
- Previous field service experience as a service technician
- Valid driver's license with van driving experience
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and equipment repair
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve HVAC/R issues efficiently
