We’re looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help us lead our growing team and ensure smooth operations.
Position Overview:
As the Assistant General Manager, you’ll be a key player in supporting the General Manager with day-to-day restaurant operations, focusing on maintaining high service standards, team performance, and guest satisfaction. Your role will involve managing the front-of-house, handling financial oversight, and helping to cultivate a positive, high-energy work environment. You’ll lead by example, delivering exceptional service, and driving the business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Assist with overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth service flow, and maintaining high standards for food, beverage, and cleanliness.
- Team Development: Lead, train, and motivate a team of front-of-house staff. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Guest Experience: Ensure every guest has an outstanding experience by proactively addressing needs, managing guest feedback, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Financial Management: Support budget management, monitor P&L statements, manage labor costs, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Staffing & Scheduling: Supervise staff scheduling, ensuring proper staffing levels for peak periods and maintaining a balanced labor model.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain adherence to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both guests and staff.
- Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication across departments.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Education:
- Two-year associate degree (60 credit hours) in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: PCI/DSS, Alcohol Awareness, Food Handling, and Gaming Registration (where applicable).
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in hospitality, including at least 3 years in a managerial role (Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or senior manager) in a high-volume restaurant.
- Skills:
- Strong guest service skills, with a proven ability to build and lead a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Financial acumen with experience managing P&L statements and labor models.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and restaurant technology.
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
- Physical capability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working with hot kitchen elements and cleaning materials.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be flexible with work hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: $85,000 - $100,000, based on experience.
