Responsibilities for the General Manager Mechanical Services position includes:
● Provide strategic leadership to drive efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.
● Develop and implement business plans, budgets, and strategies to achieve company goals.
● Lead design build & planned maintenance sales and marketing efforts to identify new business opportunities and expand our customer base.
● Deliver complete design build solutions for HVAC or refrigeration projects.
● Manage and optimize operational processes to enhance productivity, quality, and customer service.
● Recruit, train, and develop a high-performance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
● Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
● Monitor financial performance, analyze key metrics, and make data-driven decisions to drive profitability and operational excellence.
Requirements for the General Manager Mechanical Services position includes:
● Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field preferred.
● Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the HVAC/Refrigeration trade.
● Previous commercial general manager or operations manager leadership role is preferred.
● At least 3-4 years previous HVAC/Refrigeration "new construction" or "ground-up" construction project management experience is preferred.
● Mechanical project managers looking to move into the office in a GM role are encouraged to apply.
● Proven experience in HVAC and/or refrigeration design build projects is a plus.
● Strong track record of driving business growth, managing P&L, and achieving financial targets.
● Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
● Deep understanding of HVAC/Refrigeration systems, installation, maintenance, service, technologies, and industry trends.
● Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and analysis.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
● Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
