The Marketing Strategist role offers an exciting opportunity to lead Techline, Inc.’s brand and marketing strategy, planning, and implementation in a highly specialized industry. The Marketing Strategist will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, providing the vision and leadership needed to make a significant impact. The Marketing Strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive marketing initiatives in the wholesale manufacturing and utilities distribution industry. This is a full-time role located in the Austin, Texas area with the potential to be hybrid/remote.
Marketing and Brand Strategy, Planning, Development, and Implementation:
- Conduct market analysis and competitive research to build on Techline, Inc.’s positioning across the industry.
- Develop and implement proactive and consistent marketing/brand strategies that enhance brand recognition, loyalty, and sales and strengthen Techline, Inc.’s reputation as a trusted partner in the industry.
- Develop and oversee strategic communication plans and messaging for product launches, company announcements, and internal/external communications for customers and employees, ensuring a consistent tone and voice. This includes ensuring all collateral is consistent and aligned with the brand (i.e., logo use and standards for business cards, email, PowerPoint presentations, etc.)
- Establish clear, targeted communications for multiple personas, including Board/C-suite, engineering, procurement, general management, etc.
- Stay informed of new industry marketing approaches, products, services, and solutions. Conduct consistent market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth.
- Ensure marketing/branding campaigns and messaging are completed on time and within budget for conferences, events, and programs. Communicate results, best practices, and successes.
Customer Engagement and Retention:
- Design and deliver customer-oriented marketing materials for key client segments (e.g., utilities, municipalities, contractors). This includes developing and implementing a consistent process for sharing regular company/industry updates with customers, i.e., proper strategic materials/messaging for different forums like 1:1s, and face-to-face meetings.
- Design and deliver high-quality updates to existing customer base through professional Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews.
- Analyze customer feedback to inform strategy, improve customer experience, and identify areas for improvement.
- Recommend methods for developing existing or related markets and expanding into new ones, specifically for products/solutions.
- Develop and implement customer loyalty and retention programs to strengthen long-term client relationships.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing/branding messaging is integrated into RFPs based on what is most important to the customer.
- Design and provide educational content and resources tailored to client needs, such as product guides, compliance information, and technical specs. Ensure all marketing materials are updated promptly, i.e., placing ads in Coop Directories and Catalog Advertisements.
Digital Transformation, E-Commerce, and Social Media Planning, Development, and Implementation:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across multiple platforms, build an engaged online community, and ensure the right messages are customized for customer personas resulting in heightened brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales inquiries.
- Continuously enhance the company website to ensure it effectively communicates the value proposition, and customer engagement, and supports lead generation.
- Continuously enhance the internal intranet, including publishing customer news.
Event Planning and Sponsorship:
- Ensure marketing and communications branding are consistent for corporate events, industry conferences, and trade shows to drive brand visibility and engagement. Ensure cross-functional teams include consistent marketing and branding of event signage, welcome banners, and all other promotional materials.
- For example: Architect and influence the delivery of professional marketing/branding for trade show booths, golf tournaments, skeet shoots, and special customer events/dinners.
- Identify and manage sponsorship opportunities that align with Techline, Inc.’s goals and enhance its reputation within the industry and community.
- Work with community leaders and organizations to identify impactful opportunities that reflect Techline, Inc.’s commitment to giving back.
Performance Optimization and ROI Analysis:
- Define and track KPIs, such as customer acquisition cost, retention rate, and lead-to-conversion metrics.
- Continuously optimize strategies for maximum ROI and adapt to changing market dynamics.
Qualifications and Requirements:

- 5+ years' experience in digital marketing, social media management, brand, marketing, and market research
- Proficiency in marketing tools and software
