We are seeking experienced Superintendents / Field Managers to join our operations team. Candidates must hold a Journeyman certification and be willing to relocate to the Mountain or Denver Metro area. The role requires strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to oversee field crews and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Position Title: Field Manager Superintendent - Journeyman Pipefitters / Plumbers
Location: Denver Metro Area & Mountain Regions (Eagle, Glenwood Springs, Rifle, Grand Junction-Colorado)
Reports to: Sr. General Superintendent/GM of Operations
Wage Range: $30-41/hr. (DOE)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise crew leaders, journeymen, and apprentices in the completion of trade-specific projects.
- Coordinate project needs with Project Managers and General Superintendents.
- Maintain safety protocols on job sites, conduct safety audits, and oversee subcontractor safety compliance.
- Interface with clients and General Contractors professionally and effectively.
- Train crews on planning, layout, material management, and craft-specific techniques.
- Manage material take-off, ordering, and scheduling delivery.
- Collaborate with CAD and prefabrication teams for project designs and preplanning.
- Monitor and maintain project budgets, schedules, and variance reports.
- Ensure proper documentation, including updated as-builts, turnover packages, and system start-up coordination.
- Promote a respectful, team-oriented work environment aligned with company values.
- Hands-on support for piping and sheet metal assignments when needed.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman certification and a minimum of 4 years of field experience.
- Supervisory certification as required by local jurisdictions (e.g., Denver City/County or Aurora).
- Experience with pipefitting, sheet metal, and service/system functionality.
- High school diploma/GED and a 4-year apprenticeship certificate.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical project documents.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of national and local codes and construction standards.
- Basic computer skills and experience with relevant software.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks related to construction.
