Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced water treatment professional, holding a full-time position as an Area Service Manager in the Detroit Metropolitan area of Michigan. The ASM will lead a team of 4-7 Service Engineers/Water Quality Engineers responsible for providing excellent service to commercial and industrial customers.

Main responsibilities of the position include:
LMA – Leadership, Management, & Accountability
- Lead designated service team using the EOS Model
- Manage individuals by holding employees accountable for responsibilities in their designation seat definition. Provide consistent performance feedback on review schedule, coaching, and correction if individual performance drops
- Assess the capacity of the team to meet service demands, advise on where and when to hire new Water Quality Engineers and/or Service Engineers, and use the HR Core Process with HR to hire new employees
- Training: provide the team with the necessary tools and training required to do their jobs effectively
Create & Execute Annual Service Plans
- Coordinate with the Business Development Manager / Account Managers for service plan creation at the appropriate step in the HOH Sales Process
- Coordinate resources and execute sales to service transitions for onboarding new and existing customers
- Hold designated service team accountable to the HOH Service Core Process
- Review quality and ensure delivery timely service reports through HOH reports
- Manage the service region’s Profit/Loss statement and execute plans to maintain profitability in the region
- Facilitate regular business reviews of accounts in the service region
Audit Customers Using HOH’s Level 5 Standards
- Visiting customer facilities on a regular schedule with the designated account’s Water Quality Engineer or Service Engineer and produce a formal Level 5 Audit Report
- Visit prospective customer facilities as needed with the Business Development Manager who is pursuing the opportunity and generate a formal Level 5 Audit Report to be used in the Sales Process and eventual development of a formal Service Plan
Technical & Sales Support
- Deliver technical and testing services to Existing Accounts leveraging Product Managers and providing firsthand technical and training services
- Shares industry knowledge within HOH to support innovation initiatives.
- Seek out and deliver solutions to water treatment problems
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Experience with engineering, chemistry, water treatment or related areas.
- Minimum 3-5 years of current/prior working experience in water treatment or related field is required.
- Relevant managerial experience is required
- College degree in a science related field is required
- CWT Certification is preferred
- Candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently, be trustworthy and be self-motivated.
- Must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and Drug Screening
- Must be able to communicate in English and ability to read proficiently in English
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must currently be at least 18 years old
