Description
The Level 1 HVAC Service Technician will assist in performing basic maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC systems under the guidance of senior technicians. This is an entry-level role designed to provide hands-on training and experience in HVAC service work. You will be responsible for learning proper techniques, safety protocols, and technical skills to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Required to have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must have own hand tools
- Ability to complete furnace and A/C tune-ups on equipment less than 10-15 years old
- Able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair simple issues with furnaces and AC’s on service calls
- Ability to educate customer on basic operations of furnace and A/C
- Ability to communicate issues with customers HVAC systems in a professional manner
- Educating users on how to use and upkeep products correctly
- Ability to create 3 options/solutions for customers on every call
- Ability to read and understand simple wiring diagrams
- Ability to install HVAC accessories and parts sold
- Vehicle, truck stock, and company tools in use are kept in good working condition
- Ability to fill out and complete necessary paperwork for each job
- Able to call vendors and create PO’s for parts needed on sold jobs
- On time with a good attitude
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; Push, pull or maneuver heavy items
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and carry ladders, work in confined spaces and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces and in high spaces to access HVAC Units
