Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this highly motivated and results oriented professional is responsible for executing all phases of prospecting for lighting and electrical projects within existing and new customers, developing and quoting customer solutions, ensuring the material has been ordered, operations has assigned the appropriate labor, delivering the project to the customer in a mutually accepted timeframe. Projects are paid based on net margin, requiring this individual to understand all aspects of the service delivery timeline and budgeting for potential obstacles.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Prospect new and existing accounts for projects
· Analyzes project blueprints, complete site surveys, identify required specifications, recommend materials, create bill of materials, submit to appropriate vendors for pricing and availability information
· Suggest cross-over and associated items, or alternative and additional items related to an order where possible
· Negotiate with vendors to establish advantageous pricing and acceptable project timelines
· Develop project timelines and proposals per client specifications
· Continuously communicate with customers throughout the bid and delivery process.
· Understand basic revenue models, profit/loss, and cost-to-completion projections and manage project costs and profitability
· Ensure all project information and status updates are communicated to Operations in a timely manner
· Execute project phases, financial reviews, and ensure on-time delivery of projects
· Work professionally within a team setting
· Excellent internal and external communication skills
· Work closely with Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate and timely project invoicing
· Ability to investigate problems and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
· Ability to prioritize, organize, and execute multiple projects, meeting or exceeding internal/external deadlines
· Establishes and maintains ethical, cooperative manufacturer relationships.
Qualifications:
· Minimum five years of lighting and/or electrical sales/service experience with a service provider or manufacturer, i.e. TDLR Apprentice or Journeyman’s license or equivalent work experience
· Demonstrated leadership and selling skills and the ability to work independently.
· Good understanding of the market, competitors, products and services.
· Strong math aptitude, strong organizational, time management and people skills.
· Strong verbal & written communication skills
· Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Internet navigation, and Adobe
· Requires occasional travel and customer entertainment
· Willingness to work additional hours in the evening to evaluate lighting projects pre and post completion
· Familiarity with electrical codes and a working knowledge of electrical/lighting design processes and techniques is a plus.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
