Commercial Door is looking to add an EXPERIENCED COMMERCIAL DOOR TECHNICIAN. Minimum of 3 years required. Must be able to work on ALL types of commercial doors including overhead doors, walk thru doors, automatic doors, door hardware, loading docks, gates etc.

Summary
The position of Experienced Only - COMMERCIAL Door Tech requires a skilled individual with a strong foundation in core skills such as hand tools, heavy lifting, door hanging, and power tools. Premium skills in glass installation and welding are also valued for this role. Additionally, relevant skills in blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, fabrication, construction, carpentry, trim carpentry, schematics, and fixture installation are beneficial.
The ideal candidate should possess 3+ years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, along with a valid driver's license. Strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in using power tools are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial doors using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Hang doors and ensure proper functionality, including addressing any mechanical issues that may arise.
- Utilize glass installation and welding skills for specialized projects.
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately complete door installations and repairs.
- Demonstrate expertise in fabrication, construction, and carpentry techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate and execute trim carpentry and fixture installations.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve any door-related issues efficiently.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on door projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
- Maintain a valid driver's license to travel to various job sites as needed.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
