Day-to-day:
An employer in the San Antonio, TX area is looking for a VDC (virtual design and construction) Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, hold a journeyman’s or master electrician license, and possess basic computer knowledge. The main software's used are Revit and Navisworks. As a VDC Technician, you will be responsible for virtually designing electrical installations for new and existing commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage virtual models of electrical systems for commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient designs.
- Utilize software tools to create detailed electrical layouts, schematics, and diagrams.
- Review and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Identify and resolve design conflicts and issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team during the installation phase.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of design changes and updates.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
