JOB SUMMARY:
Reotemp Instruments is seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to oversee its Houston, TX operation. The General Manager will report to the COO and be responsible for driving profitability and managing all facets of the Houston business unit. This role requires strategic leadership, operational oversight, and collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and effective cost management.
The ideal candidate will embody Reotemps core values and operating principles, demonstrating exceptional leadership and business acumen. As the primary HR lead within the business unit, the GM will also oversee talent management and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In close communication with the COO, the Houston GM will be responsible for:
- Revenue and Profit Growth
- Execute strategies to achieve business targets and enhance operating profit within the Houston operation.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing to drive sales initiatives and market expansion.
- Operational Leadership
- Oversee all operational teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and efficient resource utilization.
- Implement best practices to optimize productivity and streamline processes.
- Product Management
- Oversee product management efforts, including product development, lifecycle management, and market positioning in line with company product strategy.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure high-quality product offerings.
- Customer Satisfaction
- Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction metrics to drive improvements and resolve issues promptly.
- Foster strong relationships with key customers to enhance long-term partnerships.
- Financial Oversight
- Maintain comprehensive control over operational costs and budgets.
- Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting performance metrics and strategic recommendations.
- Leadership and Team Development
- Act as the de facto HR lead, overseeing recruitment, training, and development of staff.
- Promote a positive work environment aligned with Reotemps core values and operational principles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams.
- Demonstrated experience in driving revenue growth, managing operations, and overseeing product management.
- Strong financial insight with the ability to analyze financial data and make strategic decisions to drive profitability.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in human resources management, including recruitment, employee relations, and promoting a positive company culture.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
